Costa Bridge is run by Shane and Yolanda. We are a British-Spanish couple who moved to Spain in 2007, had our triplets there and moved back to the UK in 2014. We help British people prepare for the same move, so they are not working it out alone.
Our story
I'm Shane. I'm British, born and bred, and I work in transport and logistics: long hours, away from home a lot. Yolanda is from Bilbao, in the Basque Country, and works in social care as a head cook.
In 2007 we moved to Spain together, and our triplets were born there in 2009. For seven years we did all of it: registrations, healthcare, nurseries, schools, tax, bank accounts, social security, and more trips to the town hall than either of us can count.
In 2014 we moved back to the UK. The children grew up bilingual and at home in both countries. Now they have left school, we want to spend more of our time between the UK and Spain, particularly on the coasts where British people tend to settle.
Costa Bridge comes from those years. When we looked at what British people planning a move had to go on, it was mostly Facebook groups, forum anecdotes and estate agent marketing; the big relocation services were largely built for American corporate moves. We wanted to offer calm, practical help in writing instead.
I handle the relocation preparation: visa route reviews, document planning, NIE guidance and arrival admin. Yolanda runs the Spanish-language services: everyday translation help, document support and the Servicios en español hub. She's the bridge in Costa Bridge.
What that experience gives us
Three things from those years shape how we work:

British empathy
I know what it is like to stand at a Spanish counter, miss something important the official has just said, and wonder whether your documents are enough. Everything we write is meant for that moment.

Spanish cultural and bureaucratic understanding
Yolanda grew up with the Spanish systems that confuse British people. She knows the difference between what an official website says and what the local office will actually ask for: which documents matter, which translations must be sworn, and which queue you need.

Lived experience of moving in both directions
We have moved from the UK to Spain and back again, with young children. We know the strain a move like that puts on a family, and what it takes to keep a life going in two countries.
Our boundaries
We are not lawyers, tax advisers, gestores or regulated immigration consultants. Our experience lets us explain how things work and spot problems early. It does not qualify us to tell you whether a visa will be approved, how much tax you will owe or how a Spanish court would rule. When a question needs a professional, we say so plainly.

If a service is not listed on our website, we do not currently provide it. If we cannot help you, we will tell you directly and, where possible, point you to someone who can.
Why “Costa Bridge”
Costa is for the Spanish coasts where British people most often settle: Costa Blanca, Costa del Sol, Costa Dorada, Costa Cálida, Terres de l'Ebre, Costa Azahar, Costa Brava, Costa de Almería and Costa de la Luz.
