The Non-Lucrative Visa (NLV) allows you to live in Spain without working. It is a popular route for retirees, people with passive income, and those who can support themselves without employment.

Common questions
Do I qualify for the NLV?
"Appears to" is the most honest answer at this stage. Based on what you tell us, we assess whether the route looks viable and flag concerns. Final qualification is determined by the Spanish consulate, not by us.
How much income do I need?
This changes and is set by Spanish regulation. We give you the current known threshold based on official sources, with a note that you must verify the current figure before applying.
Can I do remote work on the NLV?
This is a complex and evolving area. Strictly speaking, the NLV is a non-work visa. Some people do remote work, but this may have tax and legal implications. We flag this as a red flag requiring professional review.
What happens after I get the visa?
